Hi, I’m Julian Vance – and I started Expert Guiders because I got tired of making expensive mistakes.
A few years ago, I bought a smart home speaker that stopped being supported six months after I got it. Before that, I picked up a laptop based on flashy specs – only to find out the battery barely lasted three hours in real-world use. I didn’t lack money. I lacked the right information.
That’s when I realized most product review sites are either too technical, stuffed with affiliate noise, or just copying each other. Nobody was simply saying: here’s what this product is actually like to live with.
So I built Expert Guiders to be the site I always wished existed.
What Expert Guiders is all about
Expert Guiders is an independent product review and buying guide site focused on two categories I care deeply about:

- Home & Kitchen – appliances, cookware, gadgets, and everything that makes your home run better.
Every guide, review, and recommendation on this site comes from genuine research and real-world perspective – not from whoever pays the most for a banner ad.
How I approach every review
I follow a consistent process for everything published on Expert Guiders:
- Deep research – I go beyond spec sheets and look at long-term user feedback, common failure points, and software support lifecycles.
- Real-use focus – specs matter, but I always ask: what is it actually like to use this every day?
- Honest comparisons – I tell you who the product is for and, just as importantly, who it isn’t for.
- Clear verdicts – no sitting on the fence. You’ll always leave knowing whether something is worth your money.
